SERIAL ENTREPRENEUR, ATHLETE, DOG DAD

Hi, my name is Shea Lewis, cocktail artist, stuntman, a serial entrepreneur and athlete from Los Angeles.

Today I’m an award-winning Flair Bartender, Restaurant investor, Tequila owner, and coach to over 1000+ bartenders.

But life wasn’t always this way…

When I was just 26 years old, I found myself in the back of a cop car looking at my 3rd DUI in San Bernardino Ca.

This reckless bartender life I was living just cost me almost everything. Thank God I didn't hurt anyone.

2 years of riding a bicycle to work to pay off the debt, restarting my life, I thought I’d move out of town and completely start over.

At 28, The word "Mixologist" was starting to buzz so I knew that I had to surround myself with people that were motivated and experimenting with new techniques in the hospitality industry if I wanted to grow and push my limits. After winning every Flair bartending competition in California I found myself in Los Angeles starting at the bottom again, taking a job at a speakeasy next to a celebrity mixologist...and prepping his bar for service.

Studying under this mixologist I understood Molecular Mixology and how to turn cocktails into ice cream.

Then I went to work for another celebrity mixologist at a classic cocktail speakeasy learning the old ways and mastering the basics. But you guessed it...prepping the bar and taking the worst shifts, the scraps.

I hated it.

Only years later, grinding through the LA industry, working my way up the social ladder things turned around for me…

At 34, I found myself working at 2 of the hottest nightclubs and a well respected speakeasy, still doing double shifts and taking private clients for after hours parties when I got off work at 2am. This is when Mixology Flaired was born.

Seeing a gap in the private events industry and constantly being asked for private shows by successful event planners in Los Angeles, I knew that I had a unique skill that was nearly impossible to find outside of Las Vegas.

But before I succeeded, my grandfather passed away and all of a sudden I had nobody to turn to that had any business experience and I almost crashed Mixology Flaired into the ground…

I’d bootstrapped the company from the ground up with some help from friends. But in spite of all the popularity, I had no idea what I was doing, I was burning money left and right and we were starting to stagnate.

No matter what we did, we couldn’t identify our biggest opportunity to kick-start sales.

We were fumbling around in the dark and I was throwing money at the wall to see if anything would stick.

The bottom line was this:

I was stuck in a rut where I was stressed out, working double shifts, 100 hours a week, morning the loss of my mentor and operating on 3-to-4 hours of sleep per night… and I had nobody to turn to for the critical advice every business owner needs to know about.

On any given day, I would wonder:

How do I get in front of my ideal customer?

How do I do this thing called social media?

Who can I afford to hire a team?

How do I build a productive sales process?

What types of things should I be looking for from a videographer or editor?

How should I be leading my team?

Have you ever asked yourself these questions?

I ask, because there’s a lot of dead-wrong information out there. YouTube University can take hundreds of hours to sift through, It can confuse you and it can divert your focus from where it actually should be.

The good news is, if you’re a business owner looking to ramp up sales and smoothly build up your team, there are answers.

And over time, with the help of the right mentors, books, and advice, I believe I’ve found them.

I broke through the revenue ceiling with Mixology Flaired, saved my tips and invested in my first of 5 restaurants during the pandemic. These ventures do over $10M revenue.

Since then I have had the opportunity to invest in many more hospitality ventures, buy my first home, vacation without the world catching on fire around me and really get a taste of what I thought at the time was the founder’s “dream life”.

Fast forward a few years, and I had built two more successful events companies (The Lawren Group and Collins Cocktail Club).

Knowing precisely how rocky my journey was. Knowing how many awkward mistakes I made along the way…I wanted to “pass on the torch” by helping someone else get there in half the time — with fewer scars and horror stories.

Which is why I created S4 Group and why I share all of what I’ve learned on this website, Instagram and on my YouTube channel. So if you’ve found value in my content, it’s my honor to help you scale up your bar business.

And if you’re interested in working with me and my team more closely to experience growth, I’d like to

invite you to send me a message.

Either myself or my team will get back to you asap to see if we can help.

Let’s make today a major turning point in your journey as an entrepreneur.

Shea Lewis
